Boudh Forest Division was created on 23rd December 1979 by bifurcating erstwhile Phulbani Forest Division and situated in the central part of the State of Odisha
interspaced between N 20.37583, E 84.57222 and N
20.90916, E 84.79555 which is bounded by Mahanadi Wildlife Division in the East, Phulbani Division in the South, Subarnapur Division in the West and Athmalik Division in the North along the Mahanadi River. The total land area of this Forest Division is 3032.30 Sq Km of which Reserve Forests covering 42 blocks over an area of 92,477Ha, 6 PRFs in 2475.11 Ha, UDPF covering 893 villages over an area of 24933.62 Ha, Village Forests 133 blocks covering an area of 1192.50Ha.
